On April 8, 2006, the Blue Ridge Bowhunters, aided by members of other clubs, hosted a benefit shoot to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina relief.  There was a 3D course, many novelty shots, and lots of prizes.  A great time was had by all, and over $1,000 was raised for rebuilding efforts in the Mississippi Gulf coast region.

    One of the most popular stations was the aerial target thrower operated by it's inventor, Dr. John Freeland.  Here are some photos of the action:
